Position: Environment Expert

Qualification

  • Graduate in Environmental Engineering or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science (Mandatory).

  • Post Graduation (Master’s Degree / PGD) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Ecology, Sustainability, or a related field (Preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of overall professional experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) involving river transport and/or maritime transport projects.

  • Experience in preparation of EIA/EMP reports, environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance, and environmental clearance processes.

  • Experience in Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), Marine, River Engineering, Dredging, or Waterway Infrastructure Projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for river and maritime transport projects.

  • Prepare Environmental Management Plans (EMP), mitigation measures, and monitoring frameworks.

  • Assess environmental impacts related to dredging, navigation channels, terminals, reclamation works, and associated infrastructure.

  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities for environmental clearances and compliance requirements.

  • Monitor environmental performance during project planning, design, construction, and operation stages.

  • Prepare environmental reports, technical documentation, and stakeholder consultation records.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, EIA notification requirements, and environmental clearance procedures.

  • Experience in environmental assessment of Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), marine, river, and waterway projects.

  • Proficiency in environmental data analysis, reporting, and impact assessment methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental risk management will be an added advantage.
