Position: Geotechnical Engineer
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
- M.E./M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering (Preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in soil investigation, geotechnical investigations, reclamation works, soil improvement, and foundation design.
- Experience in Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), Marine, River, Hydraulic, or other major infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Experience in interpretation of geotechnical data and preparation of geotechnical reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise geotechnical investigations and soil exploration works.
- Analyze soil and rock investigation data and prepare geotechnical reports.
- Design and review shallow and deep foundations, ground improvement, and reclamation solutions.
- Evaluate soil stability, bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability.
- Coordinate with structural, hydraulic, and design teams to develop safe and economical foundation solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Indian and international geotechnical design standards and project specifications.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, ground improvement, and reclamation techniques.
- Experience in geotechnical design software such as PLAXIS, GEO5, STAAD Foundation, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in geotechnical investigation planning, interpretation, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and coordination skills.
- Experience in Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), marine, river engineering, and hydraulic infrastructure projects will be highly preferred.
