Position: Hydraulic Expert
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
- M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering (Preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of Barrages, Weirs, Dams, Navigation Locks, Bridges over Rivers, Ferry Terminals, Water Metro Terminals, Hydel Projects, or other hydraulic structures.
- Experience in hydraulic modelling, hydraulic analysis, flood studies, river hydraulics, and water resources engineering.
- Experience in Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), River Engineering, and Waterway Infrastructure Projects will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out hydraulic design and analysis for water resources and river engineering projects.
- Perform hydraulic modelling, flood routing, flow analysis, sediment transport studies, and water level assessments.
- Prepare and review hydraulic design calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Support the planning and design of barrages, weirs, dams, navigation locks, ferry terminals, water metro terminals, and hydel projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic engineering, river hydraulics, and water resources planning.
- Experience with hydraulic modelling software such as HEC-RAS, MIKE 11, MIKE 21, InfoWorks ICM, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in hydraulic analysis, flood modelling, and river engineering studies.
- Excellent analytical, technical reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience in Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), marine, river engineering, and hydraulic infrastructure projects will be highly preferred.
