Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
- M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in barge construction, fabrication, equipment maintenance, or mechanical systems for terminals, Water Metro Terminals, or Ferry Terminals.
- Experience in remote operation of machinery and mechanical systems, terminal equipment, marine equipment, or automated operational systems is mandatory.
- Experience in Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), Marine, Water Metro, or Ferry Infrastructure Projects will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and supervise installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Manage mechanical works related to barge construction, fabrication, terminal equipment, ferry terminals, and water metro facilities.
- Oversee remote operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of mechanical machinery and systems.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and marine engineering teams during project planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, marine equipment, and terminal operations.
- Experience in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, and remote monitoring systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical engineering software/tools.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience in Ports, Inland Water Transport (IWT), Water Metro, Ferry Terminals, barge construction, and marine infrastructure projects will be highly preferred.
