Position: Structural Engineer
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
- M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering (Preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the structural design of Barrage, Weirs, Dams, Navigation Locks, Bridges over Rivers, Hydel Projects, Water Metro Terminals, or Ferry Terminals.
- Experience in structural analysis, design calculations, and preparation/review of construction drawings for hydraulic and marine infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and review structural design and analysis for water infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review design calculations, structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors.
- Provide technical support during design, construction, and project implementation.
- Review structural stability, durability, and constructability of proposed structures.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structural design.
- Experience with structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Indian and international design codes for hydraulic and marine structures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical coordination skills.
- Experience in barrage, dam, navigation lock, hydel, water metro, and ferry terminal projects will be highly preferred.
